Francesco Totti and the fan who almost committed a crime to meet him

Francesco Totti is unarguably a legend of this sport. He led Italy to the World Cup win in 2006 and spent his whole career in a same club. The 24 years he played for AS Roma set a record in Italian soccer and made of him one of the most recognized sportsmen of that country

Some fans are very devoted to their idols, and would do anything to see them. But this one went a step beyond to met Totti. After the World Cup, the playmaker was going to make a charitable visit to a prison. One of the inmates there loved him and went crazy when he found out he was going to be there. But this guy was going to be released one week before the visit. Good for him, right?

Actually, no. He asked to spend that week in prison so he could met the legend. And threatened: 'If you release me now, I will do something very crazy to be back here'. Fortunately for everybody, he was granted that permission and could met Totti. Actually, the Roma star was surprised when he noticed how some guy was desperate to take a photo with him.

After that visit, Totti was told about that inmate so determined to meet him. The inmate said that was the only chance he was going to have in his life, and did everything he could to take it. That is what the love of the fans can do when they feel so much for a star, because a five minute meeting will mean the world for them.
