Diego Maradona left a huge memory in soccer after being largely considered the best player in history, on top of former glories like Pelé and still way ahead of current legends like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. But in such a successful career, of course, you find lots of properties and possessions. One of them, a BMW, is about to enter auction.

We are talking about a hybrid car: hybrid vehicles combine the electric power that comes from a battery (mainly to start moving the car) and then switches to the liquid fuel. It’s a trend that started in the 90s and is setting the basis for new mobility.  Maradona owned one of these in Dubai when he coached Al-Wasl in 2011, and Fujairah FC in 2017-2018 season.

It is truly one of BMW’s most groundbreaking cars in a generation as pointed by RM Sothesby’s press release in which they announce the auction. As reported by Autoblog from Argentina, after the soccer legend passed, the car went to its inheritors’ hands. If you look for the BMW i8 on internet, they could ask you for around $150,000.

The soccer master passed away last November 25 at the age of 60 due to a heart attack. Lots of controversy has raised up in Argentina following the medical treatment and how his closest people took care of him in the last days. The BMW i8 is entering auction tomorrow and will remain for a week.
