Diego Maradona's passing away still hurts in Argentinian soccer. Specially in Gimnasia La Plata, the team he was managing when he lost his life. And Jorge Broun, goalkeeper of that club, gave an interview talking about his idol and remembering Diego asking him to sign for Gimnasia.

Broun told that the day after Maradona died, many players did not go to train. That moment hit hard in the squad, and they have never recovered of it. He was a friend of everybody in Gimnasia, and the players and staff loved him. He was in charge of everything inside the club and now he is deeply missed.

The curious thing Broun said, is that he is still hoping Maradona to attend the training, because it is difficult to believe he is not there anymore, even after a month of mourning. He and Diego became close friends, with Broun picking him up to go to the matches and Maradona telling him anecdotes.

Lastly, the keeper described the legend as someone with a special vibe, very intelligent and charismatic. His presence was enough to motivate the players and they felt proud of having him near them to listen to his stories and advices. Broun is completely thankful to Maradona because of what Diego did for him and Gimnasia.
