Not enough with Olivier Giroud and Timo Werner? Well, Chelsea could still dig into the market for more options in attack. The English club has reportedly started looking for a shocking move that could become the highest transfer in history.

Who is the name? He was chased by Real Madrid and Manchester City, among other clubs. Erling Braut Haaland is the name that does not let Frank Lampard sleep. The Norwegian striker has a release clause of €75 million on 2022 summer.

Currently with an astonishing record of 35 goals in 35 appearances, Haaland is now playing at Borussia Dortmund in German Bundesliga. Chelsea’s previous record for a signing was the eyebrow-raising figure of €85 million. The man, in that time, was Kai Havertz.

As per The Athletic, the London club would be willing to pay even above the mentioned clause to bring Haaland into Stamford Bridge in this summer without having to wait one more season. Olivier Giroud could leave on a free transfer in June, so there will be an available spot.

The biggest opponent: Raiola

Mino Raiola, Haaland’s manager, has had an unsuccessful negotiation with Chelsea FC back in time: Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker was close to move to London, but instead, he decided to go to Manchester United.
