According to FIFA Messi is the best football player in the world
Argentine superstar Lionel Messi is rated as the best football player in the world according to video game FIFA 22
The electronic video game today released the overall rating of football players on the game for the 2022 version and Lionel Messi was rated the best player with an overall score of 93 ahead of Robert Lewandowski, 92 and Cristiano Ronaldo, 91.
Messi won the Copa Del Rey with Barcelona last season before leaving as a free agent after Barcelona were unable to register him with La Liga, and he join the Paris club, Paris Saint Germain. Messi also won the Copa America with Argentina, his first senior internal trophy.
He was named La Liga's highest goalscorer, assist leader and best player last season. He was also awarded Copa America's highest goalscorer and best player, awards which make him well deserving of the highest ranking in the game.
Messi's first rating on the game was 78 in 2006 and his best ratings have come in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016 when he had a rating score of 94.
Messi has played just one game for his new club Paris Saint Germain and is yet to score a goal. He missed the weekend game after traveling to South America for the international break.
