Diego Maradona signed for FC Barcelona in 1982 and played at that club for two years, scoring 38 goals in 58 matches and winning three titles. His times in Spain were turbulent, being victim of serious aggressions from rivals and starting to do drugs. Victor Muñoz, former teammate of him, talked about the legend and as always, the comparison with Lionel Messi came up.

Muñoz talked about the differences about both Argentinian stars and the first thing he listed was about their lives: he described Messi as an absolute professional who dedicated his life to the sport, while Maradona had two lives. One for soccer and the other one for the excesses.

About who was the best according to him, mentioned Maradona was technically more gifted than Messi, but soccer related, Messi is better despite he never won the World Cup, because Lionel holds many records that Maradona has not even been close to. Muñoz also said that among the geniuses, Maradona is the number 1.

At the end Muñoz, who played seven years for FC Barcelona, won seven titles and featured for Spain at two World Cups, expressed his wish of Messi to stay at the club, and pointed out whatever happens along the rest of the season will be decisive for his future.
