The Gold Cup is the trophy that the green, white and red team has lifted the most times in its history. It has participated in it since 1963 when it had another name, Concacaf Cup, and then in 1991 it changed to the current one. Since the 2019 edition, sixteen countries have participated, chosen through a qualification system.

 

 

It is therefore not surprising that it is the team with the most points, goals scored (155), most victories (48), games played (68), and the fewest the Gold Cup is the trophy that the Mexican team has lifted the most times in its history, a competition in which it has participated since 1963 when it was known as the Concacaf Cup, and then in 1991 it changed its name.

 

 

Therefore, it is not surprising that the Aztec National Team is the team with the most points, goals scored (155), the most victories (48), games played (68), and the fewest defeats (9) and goals conceded (41) throughout history.

 

 

The Gold Cup, including the Concacaf Cup, has been held 25 times, in which seven countries have lifted the cup: Mexico is the most successful team, with eleven victories; the United States follows with six trophies.  A little further behind is the Costa Rican national team, which has won the Cup three times, as well as the Canadian national team, which has won it twice, while Guatemala, Haiti and Honduras have only won one title.

 

 

Until the 1993 Gold Cup, only eight countries participated, a quota that was increased to nine for the 1996 event, ten in 1998 and twelve in 2000; and since the 2019 edition, sixteen countries have participated, chosen through a qualifying system.
