England's game against lowly Andorra had so many talking points. From a part of the stadium going up in flames and burning, to the scenic but the small capacity of the Estadi Nacional d'Andorra that seats only a little over 3,000, there was a lot to talk about before the match.

But one of the most important talking points was the selection of an all-female refereeing team to oversee the officiating duties for the match. Ukrainian Kateryna Monzul was chosen to be the centre referee for the England Vs. Andorra game while she will be assisted by her fellow Ukrainians Maryna Striletska and Svitlana Grushko. To complete the team of women, Stephanie Frappart of France will be the video assistant referee.

Monzul is a very experienced referee, having taken charge of many high profile games. In 2016, she became the first female referee to officiate a men's top division match in the Ukrainian top-flight before going on to officiate at the Women's World Cups and European Championships. Her outing for England Vs. Andorra was the first time an all-female refereeing team would take charge of an English senior international match.

In 2020, she took charge of the match between San Marino and Gibraltar, setting the record for the first time a female referee would officiate a men's senior international game. She also officiated the women's semifinal game between Canada and the United States at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
