The USMNT has had an exponential growth in terms of exporting talent to Europe. MLS continues to grow and many great players from around the world are opting to spend some stage of their careers in this competition. However, the real talent of the national team is found outside the country. They are being trained in the best European teams' basic forces in order to achieve that leap in individual and national team quality.

Has England ever beat the US in the World Cup?

Since the failure to qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup, the U.S. Soccer Federation has put its hands to work and has worked on different aspects of development and talent scouting for the national team. Today, there are more than 30 players currently playing for clubs in Europe. The challenge for coach Gregg Berhalter is to form a stable unit to get the best out of this golden generation of U.S. soccer.

In this list, we introduce you to the main faces of the national team who are at top clubs in Europe:

Christian Pulisic

Perhaps the most well-known player of the national team. He is the current Chelsea FC attacker who, at 23, has already won a UEFA Champions League and will be looking to continue his career with the English club for a few more seasons. Previously, he was at Borussia Dortmund, being one of the great talents of the youth team.

Sergiño Dest

The 21-year-old full-back currently plays for FC Barcelona and even with the arrival of Xavi Hernandez seems to have found his place. His signing for one of the biggest clubs in the world came in 2020 for approximately €20 million.

Weston McKennie

In short, one of the players who has had the greatest projection and the greatest leap in quality. He is the starting midfielder of the U.S. national team and current Juventus player. The 23-year-old player went from the Dallas Academy to the Schalke 04 youth team before surprisingly arriving at the Italian team, where he is an important element.

The players currently playing in Europe's top leagues are as follows:

Premier League: Antonee Robinson (Fulham), Christian Pulisic (Chelsea), Tim Ream (Fulham), Zack Steffen (Manchester City), Tyler Adams and Aaronson (Leeds United),
LaLiga: Sergiño Dest (Barcelona), Yunus Musah (Valencia).
