Bruno Lage's Wolves lost to Crystal Palace with a score of 0-2, so everyone is wondering why Raul Jimenez is not starting?

The Mexican striker came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute of the match, when the game was already defined, with goals by Jean-Philippe Mateta, and a penalty taken by Wilfired Zaha, for Patrick Vieira's Palace.

In fact, Jimenez came on for Pedro Neto, who for more than 60 minutes of play failed to make a difference for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC

In fact, Neto had very little activity in the match and took no shots on goal, something that Jiménez does do when he is on the field, and has even averaged close to 3 shots per game.

This makes Lage's decision to start Neto even stranger, when Jimenez is always dying in the opponent's box trying to give his team attacking depth and of course, goals.

Why didn't Raul Jimenez start?

This is the second time that the Mexican striker enters as a change to a Wolves game and does not start. The reason? Bruno Lage wanted to give the Mexican wolve a rest

At least that's what he had explained in the previous match against West Ham, because the media in England questioned the coach why Jiménez had not started the game.

At the time, Lage's words were:

"When you have a team, you need to have a team because here in the Premier League you have two or three days to recover and every time you need fit players who are able to perform like today. It was a good game, exciting, both teams tried to play with the ball and that's the most important thing."

In that game, Jiménez came on as a substitute to play the last nine minutes of the match.

With this defeat, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC has suffered its third loss in a row, but the second in which Jiménez is not in the starting lineup.

Wolves continue to try to climb up the Premier League standings

Thus, Lage's team is in the eighth position of the general table, with 40 points obtained through 12 wins, 4 draws and 11 defeats, which have them a little far from the European tournament places.

Wolves' next game will be against Watford, next Thursday, March 10, in a match in which it will be seen if Lage has rested Jiménez enough for the Mexican striker to return to the starting lineup.
