Manchester United is looking at a Chelsea FC player who is on the transferable list, but with a high price from the blue board. The English team is positively establishing itself towards a possible operation and agreement with the player. However, it is already beginning to define its final offer, which is lower than what Chelsea is really asking for.
Mason Mount has moved a step closer to joining Manchester United from Chelsea this summer by agreeing personal terms with the Red Devils. This comes from Jason Burt and James Ducker of the Telegraph after Mount has struggled to shake hands on new terms with Chelsea.
The Blues have been trying to reach an agreement with Mount over a contract extension for some time, but have ultimately been unsuccessful and, as a result, United have taken full advantage. 2022/23 has been a difficult season for Mount, not reaching the form he showed in previous seasons.
However, the importance and talent of the player is undeniable, so Fabrizio Romano shares the amount that the blue team is asking for to release the player and this is a total of 80 million euros. Given this, Manchester United analyzes the offer, but seeks to reach an agreement with another figure.
According to The Telegraph, the Old Trafford team does not plan to raise its offer from 50 million euros. Therefore, the player is placed as a concrete target for the club, but it depends on the approval of Chelsea for this offer and that the signing ends up materializing.
