After arriving to Barcelona in 2018 as one of the biggest additions to the squad, Philippe Coutinho hasn’t been close to his performances when he played for Liverpool and now is close to end his stint with the Blaugranas.

Reports suggest that Aston Villa is bidding hard to add Coutinho to his squad, where he’ll reunite with his former teammate and now Villan’s coach, Steven Gerrard. But the team won’t have the chance to buy the midfielder, as Barcelona is only looking to loan the player until the end of season.

When he joined Barcelona, the Catalonian club paid Liverpool side a sum around $153 million, making him one of the most expensive players in Barcelona’s squad. But after three seasons playing in La Liga, his net worth has falled more than $100 million, as he’s worth is stablished around $18 million, according to Transfermarkt.

How has he performed during his stint with Barcelona?

Philippe Coutinho hasn’t been at his best since he joined the Spanish squad, as he even left the club for a season on a loan to Bayern Munich, where he won the Champions League. It seems that the problem is him, as he’s not a player build to be part of Xavi’s team.
