Raúl Jiménez could be on the move once the summer transfer window opens given the lac of production that he had during the 2021-22 Premier League season, as he couldn’t recover his level after being out of the pitches for nine months due to the head injury suffered back in 2020.

Raúl Jiménez knows for which team he wants to play for next season

Although his lack of a scoring streak still kept him atop of the scorers for Wolves, as he scored six goals, one more than Hwang Hee-Chan and two more than Connor Coady and Rubén Neves, he was far from the double digits that he was used to during his first seasons.

On top of that, after the departure of Nuno Espírito Santo from Wolves’ dugout at the end of last season and the arrival of Bruno Lage, the Mexican international hasn’t found a place in the starting XI where he feels comfortable, as he closed the season playing as a right-winger instead of a forward.

Reports suggest that Wolverhampton Wanderers are willing to part ways with him over the summer, as it seems that both parties are in need of a fresh start, especially before the 2022 FIFA World Cup, as Jiménez needs to gain regularity before it starts.

His next destination is La Liga

After reports from TalkSport informed that Wolves are willing to accept an offer as little as $18 million to let him go from Molineux, several teams from different European leagues started seeing him as a viable option for their attack.

One of the teams that has kept a low profile but is after the Mexican is La Liga side Real Mallorca, who avoided being relegated for next season and with Javier Aguirre as head of the team, they are looking to improve the roster to become more competitive.

Thanks to the $400 million worth of Robert Sarver, who bought the team back in 2016, the addition of Raúl Jiménez could be an easy deal, given that “El Vasco” Aguirre already informed the management that he wants to have some Mexican players on the roster for next season.

Will Javier Aguirre stay in Mallorca?

Javier Aguirre arrived at La Liga with only nine games left in the season and with the objective of keeping the team in the Spanish top flight. It took him until the last game of the season to achieve his goal, but now that he made it, he’s set to stay with the Bermellones for at least another season.
