The only time that Haaland and Darwin Nuñez played each other

Erling Haaland and Darwin Nuñez are the new electric strikers in the Premier League, both come from smaller clubs like Benfica and Borussia Dortmund, and even tho the Norweigan has a lot more goals we can say that it´s going to be a fun pair to watch go against each other in the next Premier League campaign.

Haaland was bought by Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund for 60 million euros after he scored 85 goals in only 88 matches for the German side, being the star of the club and making a statement that he was ready to play on the next level, the Premier League.

Darwin Nuñez was signed by Liverpool for a 75 million euros signing fee to Benfica, the Uruguayan scored 47 goals for the Portuguese club in two seasons but last season he was the Primeira´s Liga top scorer with 27 goals.

What happened the first time they meet?

They met in 2019 in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, celebrated in Poland. Where Norway and  Uruguay faced each other in a group stage match where Darwin Nuñez´s team won over Haalad´s team three goals to one, and Darwin scored the first goal of the game.
