In addition to Sangaré, Liverpool want this PSV player to replace Mané

All Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah will become free agents at the end of the 2022-23 Premier League season, which means that if Liverpool wants to earn something in return for their departure, they will have to leave Anfield this summer.

During the Media Day prior to the final, Mohamed Salah informed that he plans on finishing his contract before deciding where to play next, confirming that he will play for Liverpool at least one more year, time that Jürgen Klopp will have to convince him to renew his contract.

On the other hand, Mané said that he will decide his future once the final has ended, hinting that the Saturday’s night game might be the last time he’ll wear Liverpool’s colors. Firmino, who wasn’t part of the Media Day as injuries has prevented him from playing regularly, also has taken a decision.

Will he leave Liverpool?

The 30-year-old Brazilian forward missed 16 games in Premier League this past season as different injuries, as well as Covid, kept him sidelined, but will be ready to play against Los Blancos if Klopp needs him on the pitch.

Although he’s had a more secondary role this season as he only played 10 games as a starter, the Brazilian international already decided what he will do regarding his future with Liverpool, as he knows that leaving could help him earn more playing time.

But regardless of that, during an interview with TNT Sports, Firmino said that he doesn’t want to leave Merseyside, and that he wants to finish his contract with Liverpool. “I’m very happy here. I’m grateful to God that I’m here playing for a great club with great players, winning titles. And my will is to stay.”

Firmino’s numbers in the season

Firmino joined Liverpool back in 2015 out of Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim. The 2021-22 season was his seventh season playing at Anfield, where he participated in 34 games across all competitions. With one game left to be played, he managed to score 11 goals and assist five times.
