With only one week left before the winter transfer window closes, teams are still looking to strengthen their squads with last-minute additions, hoping to find a hidden gem that could give them the boost they need for the second leg of the season.

And that’s exactly what Arsenal FC are trying to do after not being able to acquire Fiorentina FC’s striker Dušan Vlahović. The Gunners are still on the market for a striker and have set their eyes in Raúl de Tomás, who currently plays for RCD Espanyol.

De Tomás was an essential player in the Periquitos’ journey for the promotion and has established himself as one of the most regular players in Vicente Moreno Peris’ squad, but his arrival in Emirates Stadium could happen, as Mikel Arteta know he needs another striker if he wants to end the season in Champion League’s spots, as they currently stand sixth in Premier League.

The 27-year-old Spanish striker has played 21 games in La Liga this season and two more in Copa del Rey. So far, De Tomás has scored 12 goals and assisted on 2 occasions, which means he’s participated in more than half of the goals scored by Los Periquitos this season. His current market value is set at $18.7 million.
