Specialized media claim that Matt Turner will leave for Arsenal and it is already known how much the Gunners offered for him, so the goalkeeper's days at the New England Revolution could be numbered.

It was journalists James Olley, Taylor Twellman, and Jeff Carlisle of ESPN who assured that the goalkeeper is already in the club's sights, and not only that, they also asserted that the young USMNT international and promise will have an important role in the team.

But what was most revealing of all they told the popular sports news network was the amount the Gunners are offering for Turner

How much is Arsenal offering for the Revs goalkeeper?

According to the information handled by the journalists, Arsenal is offering $7 million for the Park Ridge, New Jersey-born player, which could go up to $10 million with the player's add-ons.

In accordance with what was reported by ESPN correspondents, Tom Bogert, from the official MLS website, was the one who revealed this information and added to it, the comments of Olley, Twellman, and Carlisle who assured that the young goalkeeper would have a very important role with the team of the Emirates Stadium

The journalists believe that with Turner's arrival, Mikel Arteta would have to move substitute Bernd Leno to another club so that the Stars and Stripes player could compete for the goalkeeping job with Aaron Ramsdale.

Journalists came to this conclusion because if Turner's departure from the New England Revolution is finalized, the goalkeeper will be desperate for minutes on the pitch to fight Zack Steffen for a place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

What also supports this idea is that this would not be the first time that a Premier League team goes all in for a young goalkeeper from Major League Soccer.

Will Matt Turner repeat Zack Steffen's story?

Undisputed USMNT international goalkeeper Zack Steffen went through a similar process when Manchester City was interested in him, so his case will likely be repeated with Turner.

Steffen has also fared so well in his European adventure that last November he signed his contract renewal with the Citizens, so very soon the two American goalkeepers could be facing each other in the Premier League.

The American goalkeeper arrived in Manchester in 2019 after an impressive spell at Columbus Crew and spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Steffen returned to Manchester last summer to be part of the team that won the Premier League and was instrumental in the Carabao Cup victory and the team's run to the FA Cup semi-finals.

Most importantly, Steffen is learning from Josep Guardiola, a soccer genius who has made City unbeatable in the Premier League.

So it is very likely that Turner will follow in Steffen's footsteps and build a solid career with Arsenal. Now all that remains to be seen is whether the Revs will be willing to negotiate and agree to let the young starlet go to pursue his dream in Europe.
