Wolverhampton Wanderers, the club of the Mexican Raúl Jiménez, were knocked out by Norwich City in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Bruno Lage’s squad were surprised by Dean Smith's team. The Canaries took advantage of the few plays they had in their favor to seal the victory and advance to the fifth round of the world's oldest competition.

The match started with a slight local domain, although Bruno Lage's team found it difficult to generate dangerous chances. It was at the end of the first half, in the 45th minute when Kenny McLean headed into the net to give the Canaries a 1-0 lead at the break.

Raúl could not correct the Wolves' course

In the second half, the Wolves were looking for an equalizer, and, to that end, the Portuguese coach brought on Raúl Jiménez at minute 64. The chances were denied and the Wolves' attack did not generate danger, so, in the end, the scoreboard remained intact.

Wolverhampton were thus eliminated in the fourth round of the FA Cup, while Norwich are through to the round of 16.

Wolverhampton's next Premier League match is against Arsenal at the Molineaux Stadium on Thursday, February 10, at 14:45 ET (US) and 19:45 (UK).

Wolverhampton highlighted Raúl Jiménez's performance for El Tri

Protecting the herd! Wolverhampton Wanderers highlighted the performance of Raúl Jiménez with the Mexican national team. This after "El Lobo Mexicano" fulfilled one of his greatest attributes and scored the penalty against the Panama national team.

Raúl Jiménez was in charge of giving Mexico the victory in an intense Concacaf qualifying match against the Panamanian team. The Mexican scored the only goal that keeps El Tri in third place in the standings, tied on points with the United States.

Subsequently, Raúl's club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, shared through its social networks a series of photographs of the Mexican before, during, and after scoring the penalty in the net of Luis Mejía, Panama's goalkeeper.

"RJ9 delivering in big moments with Mexico!" was the description that the Premier League squad wrote to accompany the photos. Consequently, Raúl himself and the Mexican National Team's account liked the Wolves' publication.

Raul's goal gave the team coached by Gerardo "Tata" Martino a huge boost. They are currently with 21 points, four points ahead of Panama (4th), five points ahead of Costa Rica (5th), and are on the lookout for the leader Canada, which has 25 points.
