Currently, Manchester City is considered the best club in football, with several of the best footballers on the planet in its ranks. One of them is Kyle Walker, the defender who has been in the club for the longest time and a pillar of the team's defense, in addition to confessing to being an admirer of a prominent Mexican soccer player.

In an interview for Paramount +, the Englishman admitted that his only reference to Mexican soccer was having seen Giovani Dos Santos up close, with whom he shared a dressing room when he played for Tottenham Hotspur and whom he praised for his ability as a rising star.

I played for Tottenham with Gio. He is incredible, an incredible player. Obviously, I had heard about him because we are more or less the same age. When Tottenham signed him from Barcelona, I thought my God, how can Tottenham attract a young talent like this from Barcelona? explained Walker, who couldn't help but compare him to the great figure of the moment.

But when he arrived, the things he could do with his foot were like Ronaldinho, he reminded me of Ronaldinho because of how he moved his legs, the band in his hair and all that. Obviously, things probably didn't work out as well for him in the Premier League, but for me he was a top-level player, the Brit added.

Different ways

When both footballers were together, the spotlight was directed towards the Mexican due to the potential he had after having been crowned Under-17 World Champion and having played several good games as a professional, however his talent was overshadowed by his lack of discipline and he finished his career at the premature age of 32 in 2021, after being left without a contract.
