Manchester United beat Tottenham 3-2 thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo, who once again confirmed that age is just a number and that the greats do not have to worry about those who want to retire them early. The Portuguese took Tottenham down and scored the second hat trick of his career in the Premier League with Manchester United at the age of 37. No big deal.

It was the highlight of the day and Old Trafford was prepared for it. Bruno Fernandes missed the match due to illness and it was Pogba who played as a playmaker. He was at ease and once again deployed his powerful physique, accompanied by his quality, to do a lot of damage, move quickly and make the absence of Bruno Fernandes hardly noticeable.

Cristiano did not take long to appear. The attacker turned his right foot into a missile and with a shot from outside the area beat Hugo Lloris. The ball flew into the top corner of the net after a perfect execution by the Portuguese.

Ben Davies had a goal disallowed that put fear into United, who fell apart for a few minutes and Antonio Conte's team took advantage of that.

The Spurs would continue to hit and Dalot had to save under the sticks a strong shot from Eric Dier ten minutes before Alex Telles did not stick his arm to his body and committed a penalty. Harry Kane equalized the match from the penalty spot.

Sancho and CR7 the best allies

But Cristiano Ronaldo's light bulb was perfectly lit. Because CR7 found in Jadon Sancho his best ally. The former Borussia player put him a pass that he only had to push thanks to Reguilón who broke the offside. Double in the first half and into the locker room after putting United ahead twice.

Harry Kane was one of Tottenham's best players. The striker, in his position as a playmaker, read the game perfectly and was able to distribute and set up his teammate Son on several occasions. Harry Kane's role as a not-so-predator in the box also suits him perfectly.

Son had the chance to equalize, but it was not the Asian player's afternoon. Tottenham continued looking for an equalizer and after so much insistence, they were rewarded. They moved from side to side until Reguilón put it in the area, where Maguire entered at ground level to send the ball into De Gea's net.

Little by little the minutes of the second half wore on. Hugo Lloris once again denied Cristiano a hat trick, but when he is loitering so much in the box, there is a real problem.

And there it was. The Portuguese suspended in the air as best he knows how to do to put his head and place the third, and the hat trick in his particular account. There is little to do when Cristiano has an afternoon like this and that was the feeling that reflected on Antonio Conte's face. Tottenham wanted and deserved more, but CR7 wanted the day for himself.
