The outrageous amount Manchester United has spent over the last two decades

The Brazilian footballer wants to sign for United because he is aware that with Erik Ten Hag on the sidelines he will have a leading role and will also get a great leap in his career.

As reported by the Dutch media 'De Telegraaf', the promising Brazilian footballer does not agree at all with the extremely high price tag that Ajax has set for him and that is blocking his arrival at Manchester United. The English club is not willing to pay the 80 million euro asking price.

In this situation, Antony seems willing to declare himself unhappy so that the Dutch team would change its position regarding his sale and agree to lower his price considerably in order to fulfill his dream of playing at Old Trafford next year.

Antony’s impressive performance in Ajax

Ajax Amsterdam decided to bet on Antony's arrival to their squad in January 2020 by paying around 15.8 million euros to Sao Paulo, as they saw in him a player with great projection. Only two years later, the player has made a huge leap in quality and has ended up bursting through the ranks of the Dutch team and becoming a target of the most powerful clubs on the planet.
