Are they worth selling? The fortune that LAFC would collect after the possible departure of Brian Rodríguez and Diego Rossi to Europe

Los Angeles FC is going through a wonderful moment in the MLS and their Uruguayan stars are worth a lot of money after this season.

Bob Bradle’s team has already locked a spot on the Playoffs by ending at the fourth position. Probable Diego Rossi and Brian Rodriguez were the key players of the squad due to the injury of Carlos Vela. But what will happen when a European club wants them and LAFC lose their offensive potential?

Rodriguez cost $12 million to LAFC when he was 19 years old and since then, he scored 3 goals and gave 6 assists in 21 games. Now, he is definitely worth over 15 million. Then there is Rossi, a much more valuable player at this point. When he left the Uruguayan club Peñarol he was 20 years old.

In 2018, LAFC payed $3 million dollars, and now the striker is valued at $21 million dollars. That is seven times the investment the club made only two seasons ago. This could mean that Los Angeles could get almost $40 million by selling their most important players.

The main problem with this is that the team would need Carlos Vela on his highest point because they would lose all their offensive power. On the other hand, they would get a lot of money to spend in stars or to invest in new wonderkids. Because the squad seems to be a machine that improves the young talents.
