Inter Miami are back in action tomorrow in the MLS as they take on New York City FC at the Chase Stadium. Inter Miami's last game did not go well as they suffered a 4-0 loss against the New York Red Bulls last week. Inter Miami has been playing without Lionel Messi for a couple of games, and the team wants to have him back as soon as possible. Inter Miami won't be able to count on him for tomorrow's MLS game against New York City FC, and they will also be missing another crucial player. Inter Miami doesn't want to lose any more games; their record after six MLS games is three wins, one draw, and two losses. The total number of points is 10, and they are 2nd in the Eastern Conference.

Inter Miami's manager Gerardo Martino hinted that Messi needed a longer recovery process. Martino's assistant coach, Javi Morales, spoke about Messi's injury update and confirmed that he will be out for the New York City FC game. Morales said, "Messi was excluded from the match against New York City FC. The idea this week is to make him available for the first leg against Monterrey."

A player the club did not expect to see injured for a long period of time is Federico Redondo. Inter Miami made a public statement about his injury and the duration of it. Inter Miami's statement read, "Federico Redondo has suffered an injury to his left lateral collateral ligament (LCL) and is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight weeks. Redondo will not be available for the crucial games against Monterrey in the next few weeks.

Inter Miami's game vs Monterrey will first be played in Miami

The CONCACAF quarterfinals between Inter Miami and Monterrey will be played at the Chase Stadium for the first leg this Wednesday. On April 10th, Messi and Inter Miami will travel to Mexico to play in Monterrey's Estadio BBVA for the second leg.
