Liverpool would keep trying, but late in the game, Luis Diaz went down after a high foot from Kluivert. Diaz was fine, but Liverpool was asking VAR for a red card. The second half started off amazingly for Liverpool. Nunez scores a great low-driven shot past Neto to open the score. Curtis Jones picks out Jota at the edge of the box, and the Portuguese passes to Nunez, who slots the ball in the bottom corner. Nunez grabbed his 6th goal in the Premier League with Liverpool and scored 100 goals in his senior career. Bournemouth would try to respond quickly, and they almost did.

It didn't mean much as Diogo Jota scored the second goal for Liverpool in the 70th minute. That was his second goal contribution of the game, as he registered an assist earlier. This is the 4th time in his Liverpool career that Diogo Jota has registered a goal and assist in the same game.
