While Klopp spent 1.13 billion, it doesn't overtake what Pep Guardiola spent

A list of the most money spent over the course of a managerial career was released and reveals some big numbers.

Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola are known to be one of the best managers in the Premier League due to their performances in the past few seasons. What they have done with Liverpool and Manchester City, respectively, has been unlike other teams from the past in the league. While reaching new achievements, they have also broken money records with the amount of spending on their squads.

In the top ten managers who have spent the most amount of money in their managerial careers, Jurgen Klopp ranks 10th. Klopp has reportedly spent 1.13 billion euros throughout his career. Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson Becker are some big money transfers he brought to Liverpool. Van Dijk joined Liverpool for around 84 million euros, while Alisson joined the club for around 62 million euros.

Mauricio Pochettino spent 1.15 billion euros and is placed 9th on the list. He managed clubs like Spurs, PSG, and Chelsea that spent a lot in recent years. In the 8th position, Antonio Conte spent 1.17 billion euros. Conte also managed Spurs and Chelsea, while recently managing Inter Milan as well. Thomas Tuchel ranks higher with 1.19 billion euros spent. Tuchel is currently the manager for Bayern Munich and he also managed Chelsea and PSG.

In the 6th position, Manuel Pellegrini is higher, spending around 1.2 billion euros. He managed the early years of Manchester City's takeover from 2013 to 2016 when Sheikh Mansour took over the club. In 5th is Diego Simeone, who has been at Atletico Madrid for over a decade. He joined the club as their manager in 2011 and has spent 1.21 billion euros. 4th spot goes to Massimiliano Allegri, who managed Juventus from 2014 to 2019 and returned in 2021. He spent 1.4 billion euros.

Pep Guardiola overtakes Carlo Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho in the top three managers who spent the most in their coaching careers

Carlo Ancelotti is ranked the third manager who spent the most in his managerial career. In his recent years, he managed Napoli, Everton, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid. He also managed PSG and Chelsea before that. Ancelotti spent 1.69 billion euros. Jose Mourinho is second on the list. Mourinho spent 1.86 billion euros coaching teams like Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Spurs. His recent managerial job was with AS Roma.

Pep Guardiola overtakes everyone with a speanding amount of 2.04 billion euros during his managerial career. He spent years at FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and now 8 years at Manchester City.
