Liverpool not only suffered a 3-1 loss against Arsenal last weekend, but they also lost Thiago Alcantara due to another injury. The Spanish midfielder has just come back from another injury he suffered last April in 2023. It has been reported that the new injury he suffered is a hamstring injury that could keep him out for the rest of the season.

Sources close to Liverpool suggested that Thiago's hamstring injury would mean that he played his last Liverpool game against Arsenal. Since Thiago joined Liverpool in 2020, he has missed 81 games due to injuries. While Thiago is hurt again, Jurgen Klopp was asked about the severity of the injury. Klopp says, "Not cool. Looked fantastic in training. Let him play a few mins but he felt a muscle issue. We don't know the extent yet."

Klopp was asked if he expects Thiago to come back again this season. Klopp says, "Yes. But we didn’t really think about that. We need a full assessment & to know exactly where it came from. It’s not a big big injury. But it’s obviously something.” Dominik Szoboszlai did not feature in the game against Arsenal and many reports suggested the player to miss 4 weeks out. Klopp says the player will not play against Burnley tomorrow but is running. The Hungarian midfielder could return sooner rather than later. Klopp excited Liverpool fans after an update on their superstar in the squad.
