Erling Haaland is one of the highest-paid footballers in the Premier League. The Norweigan striker reportedly earns nearly 850 thousand pounds weekly with add ons and has an annual salary of $52 million. Haaland signed a five-year contract with Manchester City in the summer of 2022.

Kevin De Bruyne is ranked as one the highest-paid footballers in the Premier League, with a weekly salary of 400 thousand pounds. He signed a contract extension in April 2021 and could potentially sign another soon after rumors of Saudi Arabia's interest in bringing the Belgian to the Saudi Pro League this summer along with Mohamed Salah.

Salah is third in the top ten highest-paid footballers in the Premier League, with a weekly salary of 350 thousand pounds. He signed a three-year contract extension with Liverpool in the summer of 2022.

Karim Benzema and Roberto Firmino have been targeted for a couple of Premier League clubs this winter transfer window. Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have all shown interest in singing these two strikers for their clubs. All three clubs are aware of their expensive contracts and are looking to bring them on loan instead of a permanent buy. The clubs understand the two strikers are older than now and don't want to negotiate a full transfer fee with the Saudi Arabian clubs. It was reported that both players were willing to take a pay cut to join the Premier League, and the clubs would pay a certain percentage of their wages or pay none at all.

Karim Benzema and Roberto Firmino's wages are similar and more expensive than the best-paid footballers in the Premier League

If Premier League clubs were to pay Benzema and Firmino's wages, the wage bill would affect the clubs because of the price. The wages are more than Haaland, Salah, and De Bruyne. According to the Telegraph, Benzema earns 3 million euros a week while Firmino earns around 300k euros. It seems almost impossible for these clubs to sign them permanently.
