The Real Madrid Galacticos will be remembered for a lifetime because of the team's star power. The likes of Ronaldo Nazario, David Beckham, Raul, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, and so many more made the team on paper look scary. The team didn't live up to expectations, but the squad value was enormous at the time, and the team was always a watch. One of the players who was part of Los Galacticos has recently gotten himself in trouble with the law, and now he could face up to nine years in jail.

According to Lei Em Campo, a judge in Brazil has ordered the arrest of Robinho after he was sentenced to 9 years in prison for his involvement in gang rape. The former Brazilian player will serve his prison sentence in Brazil. Robinho, 40, was found guilty by an Italian court in 2017 of taking part in the 2013 gang rape of a 22-year-old Albanian woman.

Francisco Falco, the first judge to vote, suggested that Robinho serve his sentence in Brazil. Falco said, "There's no obstacle to validate the execution of his sentence. It was confirmed by a court in Milan, which is the competent authority in this case. The conviction is final. The defendant was not put on trial in absence in Italy; he had representation."

The Brazilian faced lots of backlash from the charges of 2017, and some Brazilian fans didn't want him back in 2020 when he was set to play for Santos again. One of Santos' sponsors ends their deal with the club due to Robinho's signing. The Brazilian club announced the suspension of his contract.

Robinho believes racism had to do with his nine-year sentence

Robinho spoke to Record TV recently about this charge and said, "I was convicted in Italy unjustly for something that did not happen, and I have all the evidence to show that. I played four years in Italy, and I got tired of seeing stories of racism. Unfortunately, it happens today. That happened in 2013, and today we are in 2024, which leads me to believe that the same people who do nothing against racism are the same ones who they condemned at my trial. If my trial were for a white person, it would be totally different, without a doubt."
