For the past couple of seasons Vinicius Jr. has been the topic of conversation week after week in Spain and not precisely for his great talent, which he has, or for his good performance on the pitch, but for the complaints he has made against several teams due to the racist insults he has received in different stadiums of La Liga, which has become a constant and unfortunate situation against the Brazilian.

Derived from this situation, through a statement, the Merengue team announced that it has filed a complaint with the Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation against Juan Martínez Munuera, who was the referee of the match between Real Madrid and Osasuna, which was played last Saturday, March 16 at the El Sadar Stadium, which marks a very important precedent in the history of Spanish soccer.

Real Madrid points out in its statement that the referee in question "willfully and deliberately omitted" the racist insults against Vinicius Jr. and did not follow the proper protocol in the face of this delicate situation, in addition to the fact that it was also not recorded on the match sheet, pretending that such insults had not occurred, something that has outraged the club that currently leads the standings in Spain.

"This referee omitted, voluntarily and deliberately, the insults and vexatious shouts directed repeatedly towards our player Vinicius Junior, despite being warned insistently by our players at the very moment when these were taking place," stated Real Madrid through a statement. So far, there has been no official response to that statement.

Real Madrid's complaint did not end there

In addition, Real Madrid also filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office and requests that the fans of Osasuna, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona be identified and punished for hate crimes and discrimination, due to the insults made to 'Vini' in the vicinity of El Sadar, Civitas Metropolitano and the Olympic Stadium of Montjuic in recent days.
