Kylian Mbappé is playing his last home game for PSG at the Parc des Princes against Toulouse in Ligue 1, and the French star had an interesting reception before the game started. The stadium announcers named the players who would start for PSG, and one of the players was Mbappé. Once the French star was named by the stadium announcers, loud boos were heard by some PSG fans across the stadium, including some Ultras. Mbappé met with the PSG Ultras on Friday after his announcement of leaving the club at the end of this season. Many PSG fans are not happy with his decision to leave the club this summer.
As promised at the barbeque Mbappé had with the PSG Ultras this past Friday, a tifo was made for the PSG star before the match started. The tifo showed the image of Mbappé wearing the PSG shirt, and a section of the PSG Ultras thanked Mbappé with this gesture and by chanting his name. The forward walked up to the tifo to see it for himself and thanked the fans who took part in this kind tribute to him.
The PSG fans also had a banner made for Mbappé, which was also a tribute to the player. The banner they held read, "A child from the suburbs of Paris who became a Paris Saint-Germain legend.” The crowd was divided by this tribute for Mbappé as fans booed the banner and the tifo they had to honor him. None of these gestures were organized by the club, and PSG had no plans to make a special tribute for their player, who will become a free agent this summer and is likely to sign with Real Madrid.
Mbappé isn't the only player who confirmed he would leave PSG this summer. Keylor Navas also announced on his social media pages that he will leave PSG this summer. The PSG Ultras had a banner for Navas that said, "Thank you for everything, Navas." The fans chanted his name during the warm-up, and the Costa Rican keeper clapped and thanked the fans for the message.
