Bayern Munich does not have the season they hoped to expect. Bayern Munich is not the Bundesliga leader and is a foot out of the Champions League. Bayern Munich lost a crucial game against Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 and is five points below Leverkusen as they sit in second place. They also lost 1-0 away from home against Lazio yesterday in round 16 of the Champions League. Tuchel couldn't hold back criticism of his players, a normal trait of Jose Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho is one of the best football managers ever, but he also is openly honest when his players are not performing well for him. Mourinho classified guiding Manchester United to second in the Premier League as his greatest accomplishment. This seems like a joke as the Portuguese manager has won a treble in the past and has won multiple trophies for other important clubs. Mourinho has publicly ridiculed other coaches and even a few of his players.

One example is Luke Shaw at Man United, who said, "He (Shaw) performed well, but it was his body with my brain. Because he was in front of me, and I was making every decision for him. I was thinking for him, when to close inside, when to open, when to go in, when to press the opponent; I was making every decision for him.” Mourinho spoke today about being very successful in his two years at Man United. Mourinho said, "Nobody did better than me (after I left). Was a hell of a job. To win the Europa League and qualify for Champions League was great too."

Thomas Tuchel slams his players after losing 3-0 against Bayer Leverkusen

Sky Sports Germany reporter Riccardo Basile reports that a source in the team said that Tuchel slammed his players after the Leverkusen loss over the weekend. Tuchel reportedly said, "You are not as good as I thought then I just have to adapt to your level." After that, Bayern lost 1-0 to Lazio in the Champions League. It seems like he is close to getting sacked, but not in the eyes of Bayern's president.

Bayern Munich's president, Herbert Hainer, still trusts in Tuchel and said, “Tuchel and staff are working meticulously. We now need a spark to overcome this on the pitch — we are all working on it together, I am convinced that we can do it."
