Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich is very interested in reappointing their former manager, Julian Nagelsmann. The prospect of Julian Nagelsmann returning to Bayern is becoming more concrete after talks over a three or four-year contract were held. Nothing is decided yet, and Germany wants to extend his contract; however, the feeling is that he’ll be the coach of Bayern Munich again.

Nagelsmann is the current manager of the German national team, and the DFB [German Football Association] is still hoping he will extend his contract as Germany's coach until 2026. As of now, Nagelsmann has neither accepted nor rejected either offer, and he could shock them by returning to Bayern next season, even though he was sacked mid-season last year.

Bayern Munich appointed Nagelsmann in 2021 and signed a five-year contract with the club. His first season in the 2021/2022 season led to him winning the Bundesliga and the DFL Super Cup. In the 2022/2023 season, Nagelsmann had Bayern Munich top of the league by one point over Borussia Dortmund in March 2023. The last game he coached Bayern was a 2-1 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen. The club sacked Nagelsmann mid-season, which surprised many Bayern fans, and Thomas Tuchel replaced him. Nagelsmann ended his Bayern career with a 71.4% win rate, according to 90 min.
