Real Madrid is going for two superstars this summer, Kylian Mbappé and Alphonso Davies. While Mbappé will arrive at the club on a free transfer, Real Madrid will need to negotiate a transfer fee for the potential signing of Davies. Davies' contract with Bayern Munich expires next year, and the German giants want to agree on a new contract to avoid interest from Real Madrid. Davies is reportedly interested in joining Real Madrid this summer, but now the player is asking for a salary demand that the Germans will have to meet to convince the player to stay. Real Madrid, on the other hand, will pay close attention to those salary demands so they can convince the player to join next season.

Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sports Germany reports new talks between Bayern and Alphonso Davies' management will take place this week. Max Eberl is now in charge of the negotiations. Bayern Munich is offering a new contract until 2029 with a gross salary of around $12-14 million per year. Davies, meanwhile, is asking for up to $21 million. If no agreement is reached this week, then Davies' summer departure would become inevitable. If Real Madrid meets Davies' $20 million a year salary, they would have an edge to sign him.

Bayern Munich sporting director Cristoph Freund spoke about the Alphonso Davies contract talks. Freund does not rule out Davies renewing with the club soon. Freund said, "It's not unlikely at all. There are talks, and the talks are good and open. And then we'll see what happens in the next few weeks. Phonzy feels very comfortable in Munich and enjoys playing for Bayern a lot. I'm not negative."
