The Gabriel's show! Arsenal cruise to a huge victory against Crystal Palace

Arsenal went back to winning ways in the Premier League as they defeated Crystal Palace 5-0 at the Emirates. The Gunners haven't played a game in 13 days and broke a four-game winless streak that concerned Arsenal fans. Arsenal's last performance was the FA Cup 2-0 loss to Liverpool.

The first goal for Arsenal came in the 11th minute from a corner kick. Gabriel Magalhaes jumped the highest out of everyone as he gave Arsenal the early lead. There was controversy on this goal as Palace fans believe it was a foul on Chirs Richards. The Brazilian center-back jumps over the American defender, but the referee and the VAR don't believe the action was a foul. The goal was given, and Arsenal was heading on the right track.

Late in the second half, Gabriel struck again as a cross from Saka from the corner kick was met by the Brazilian's head, who headed the ball into the net. Palace keeper Dean Henderson was furious after the goal went in because he thought Ben White was blocking his way to get to the ball. White was just standing still and Henderson did not commit enough to grab the ball.

The goal was later awarded as an own goal rather than Gabriel's brace of the game. The header of Gabriel hits the back of Henderson, which causes the ball to go into the net. Arsenal led 2-0 at halftime and was on their way to winning another Premier League game.

Martinelli grabs a late brace in the second half, but Arsenal suffers two injuries that may concern fans

Arsenal were struggling a little at the start of the second half as Crystal Palace was quick to attack. The Palace team was pushing high up the pitch, but they would punish during a corner. David Raya grabs the ball and throws the ball to start an amazing counterattack. Gabriel Jesus runs with the ball and passes a great ball to Trossard, who cuts inside to beat Clyne to then fire the ball past Henderson to grab the Gunners' third of the game.

Arsenal couldn't do much after the third and decided to control the game to maintain the advantage and secure the victory. Palace would create few chances to try to get into the game again, but it was too late. In the 94th minute, Gabriel Martinelli scored a low-driven shot past Henderson to make it 4-0. A minute later, it was 5-0 courtesy of Martinelli shooting a low shot at the far past again. It was like deja vu because of how similar the goals were.

Arsenal suffered two injuries in the game, Declan Rice and goalscorer of the day Gabriel Magalhaes. Arsenal won 5-0 and are now 3rd with 43 points, level with Manchester City and two points off Liverpool, who are top of the league. Their next Premier League game is ten days away when they play Nottingham Forest.
