Declan Rice chose Steven Gerrard over Frank Lampard & Paul Scholes

In an interview with Chelsea FC Legend Joe Cole, Declan Rice chose Steven Gerrard to be the player he wished to play. The question was who he chose to play along with in his career. The Arsenal star quickly picked the Liverpool legend. He recognized Lampard for his quality as well but he mentions Gerrard's quality being something else.

"I'm gonna go with Stevie G. Him and Lamps [Lampard] were always compared. I could say Lamps as well; I adore him as a player. But Stevie G... there's something about him. I feel like we could complement each other well. He can just do everything... he's special," Rice explains.
