Scoring goals is no longer enough for Haaland: his new job outside soccer

The Manchester City striker will start a new project in Norway.

Erling has a new business.

Erling Haaland joined Manchester City in the summer of 2022 for $65 million from Borussia Dortmund and quickly became the Premier League's top star. His talent for scoring goals, as well as his physical strength, power and winning mentality, are qualities that set him apart from other players playing in his position.

That allowed him to break many records. For example, in his first season in England he scored 52 goals in 53 games in all competitions and led the Citizens to the first Treble in their history. Obviously he was the top scorer in the Premier League, something he is also achieving in the current season, despite having been injured for two months. He is also the first player to score 51 goals in his first 50 games in the English league.

But apparently all this is not enough for Erling and that is why he decided to dedicate himself to an activity that has nothing to do with soccer: he will sell ice cream. Starting this Monday, February 19, Haaland will launch this product for sale in Norway, which will have cream and caramel, and will be covered with chocolate and almonds. In addition, the packaging will show the image of the striker with the characteristic pose with which he celebrates his goals, with one finger in his ear and another pointing upwards.

This was announced by him a few days ago through a video on his official social media accounts. But, surprisingly, he received complaints from many users who were disappointed that the ice cream brand is only sold in Norway and not in other countries. Perhaps, if successful in his home country, the business can expand to England and then to other destinations.

He remains focused on soccer

Beyond these parallel businesses to his professional career, Erling Haaland has soccer as his priority and that is why he is focused on continuing to shine with Manchester City. His next match will be this Tuesday, when the Citizens face Brentford, looking for a victory that will allow them to get closer to Liverpool in the Premier League standings.
