Real Madrid drew the game against Valencia after trailing 2-0 during the first half. While it seems like a great result without looking at the game, it actually seems like a loss. The game was seconds away from ending, and Real Madrid had a corner. The ball goes to the right-hand side, and as a cross comes in, the referee Gil Manzano blew the fulltime whistle. As the whistle blew, Jude Bellingham scored a header in the box which could have given Real Madrid the win but it was too late. This left the Real Madrid players and fans furious.

Jude Bellingham and the players crowded the referee after the game. Bellingham received a red card after he told the referee, " It's a f*cking goal; the ball is in the air! What the f*ck is that!" Relevo reports that Bellingham could miss the next two games for protesting. The suspension could increase to three games if the refereeing committee thinks Bellingham was too aggressive towards the referee.

Aftter the game ended, Real Madrid put out a statement on what occurred during the game and the club did not hold back about their feelings towards the incident.

Real Madrid's statement read, "An unprecedented referee decision by Gil Manzano stopped Real Madrid's win against Valencia in Mestalla. With 2-2 on the scoreboard and in the last play of the match, Brahim crossed, and Bellingham made it 2-3. But the referee annulled the goal by pointing out the end of the match when the pass was in the air. The league leaders deserved the three points but added only one in a match that they were down 2-0."

Carlo Ancelotti's reaction to the incident

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti spoke after the game and expressed how this never happened to him in his career. Ancelotti said, "This has never happened to me before. We will still sleep well tonight; we are La Liga leaders. There is not much to say; something unprecedented happened. Bellingham didn't insult the referee. He told him in English, 'It's a f*cking goal.'"
