Real Madrid President Florentino Perez willing to sacrifice Vinicius Jr soon

Vinicus Jr has been sensational for Real Madrid for the past three years. Vinicius arrived in 2018 and struggled a bit to get going. The 2021/2022 season was a turning point for his career at the Bernabeu as the Brazilian and Karim Benzema formed a duo that conquered Europe.

Real Madrid won the 2022 Champions League and La Liga, with Vinicius grabbing 22 goals and 20 assists in 52 appearances for that season. He did something similar last season because, in 55 appearances, he scored 23 goals and had 21 assists. Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey and the FIFA Club World Cup last season.

This season, he started off on the wrong foot because of injuries. The Brazilian still managed to help Madrid win another trophy after winning the Spanish Super Cup against FC Barcelona, scoring a 39-minute hat trick in the first half of El Clasico. This season so far, he scored 10 goals and has four assists in 18 games.

Vinicius has placed himself almost irreplaceable in the left-wing position. He even plays as a second striker because of Benzema's absence and Jude Bellingham's arrival. The Real Madrid fans love the Brazilian for his commitment to the team and the club. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez feels the same way and is considering bringing in a natural striker rather than the man the club has been after for many years, Kylian Mbappe.

Perez was looking at names like Erling Haaland and Victor Osimhen to fill the empty number 9 spot in the squad so Vinicius could play his natural position as the left-winger of the team. New reports today have shown that Perez might have changed his mind.

Florentino Perez is willing to sacrifice Vinicius Jr for Kylian Mbappe this summer

According to Sport, Florentino Perez believes Kylian Mbappé is the best player in the world in his position [left-wing], and therefore, Vinicius Jr is second. The Madrid president is reportedly not 100% convinced by Vini Jr's and his behavior. In addition, his sale would help finance the signing of Mbappé.
