FC Barcelona has been sponsored by Nike for over 20 years since the American brand was featured on their shirts in 1998. The current deal with Nike ends in 2028, but new talks for an increase in the deal have stopped negotiations. FC Barcelona is asking for money per season as the Catalan club is going through an economic crisis. The club receives around $82 million per season with Nike, and now Puma looks to intrigue FC Barcelona with their offer.

Luis Rojo from Marca reports that Puma is ready to pay a $108 million bonus to Barça immediately upon signing. They are also offering €120M/season which is $130 million a season in dollars. This amount is significantly higher compared to Nike's offer of $92 million plus $20 million in variables.

Jijantes and Gerard Romero reported that Barça met with representatives from Puma in Barcelona today, including the German brand’s CEO, Arne Freundt. Joan Laporta, Rafa Yuste, and Manana Giorgadze were all present for the three hour meeting. A potential deal would begin in the 2025/2026 season.

Ivan San Antonio from Sport reported that Puma had submitted a historic offer to FC Barcelona to sponsor the jersey. They want to make Barça one of the highest-paid clubs in the world. Their offer could be between $130 to $152 million a year including a $100M signing bonus. The club's ongoing contract with Nike is the only obstacle preventing FC Barcelona from reaching an agreement with Puma.

Catalunya Radio reports that there are people within Barça who want to give the number 10 to some player; they think they could benefit economically from that. The club's option is Lamine Yamal, although not everyone agrees due to the huge responsibility that the number represents for a 16-year-old player.
