Pep Guardiola comments about Omar Berrada joining Manchester United.

Manchester United shocked many when they announced their new CEO under Sir Jim Ratcliffe. United appointed former Manchester City CEO Omar Berrada after spending more than ten years at the blue side of Manchester. Berrada will not start his CEO duties right away but could start before the start of next season.

Berrada was crucial in helping Man City develop its academies, transfers, sporting decisions, and business decisions. Berrada played a major role in helping Manchester City sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. Manchester United hopes Berrada can help the club bring world-class talents to the squad and improve the business side as well.

Manchester United fans were worried that Berrada was involved in the 115 charges that are against Manchester City. It has been reported that Berrada had nothing to do with the breaching of financial rules even though he was at the club during the time period the Premier League is charging them for. Ahead of the FA Cup game against Spurs, Pep Guardiola was asked about his opinion on Berrada moving to Man City's local rivals to become their new CEO. Guardiola seemed unfazed and believed the move wouldn't easily make an impact.

Pep Guardiola doesn't think Man United will transform easily with Berrada and mentions Man City still having Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne

Pep Guardiola does not seem worried about Berrada going from Man City to Man United as their new CEO. He believes the addition of Berrada won't impact Man United immediately as Man City still has world-class players like Haaland and De Bruyne. Guardiola says, "Yeah, but Kevin De Bruyne is still at Man City; Erling Haaland will play here too. I’m not sure it’s that easy. But if United thinks with this person everything is going to change, congratulations!”

Guardiola jokingly says, "If it does happen [Man United becoming immediately successful], then oh my God, they have to make a stand for Omar Berrada in the future because he’d deserve it.”
