Bayern Munich are taking their time to replace Thomas Tuchel after a poor season for their standards. Bayern Munich is 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga but is in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, and they will be playing against Arsenal. Despite the poor results this season, the German giants are sticking with Thomas Tuchel until the end of the season since they have yet to find the perfect replacement for him. Bayern Munich appointed Max Eberl as the new board member for sport and he will be in charge along with other members to pick the new manager for the team. While Xabi Alonso is a potential candidate, Eberl is asked about other managers like Jurgen Klopp.

Eberl had an interview with Sport Bild, where he was asked about the future of the club, including the manager. When asked if Tuchel could potentially stay next season, Eberl said, "The decision was made without me having a single word involved, even though it was reported differently. And that's completely fine. The decision to part ways was made together by the club and the coach. There was no discussion, no thought that we would not stick to this decision."

When asked about Xabi Alonso potentially fitting into Bayern Munich as head coach, Eberl said, "He played for FC Bayern. But I don't want to provoke headlines: 'Xabi fits with Bayern!' - I'm talking about him knowing this club. He's under contract at Bayer Leverkusen, can win the domestic double there and the Europa League as well. But to return to the question: there are coaches who fit with FC Bayern, yes."

Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp were mentioned to him, and he said no to one of them

Eberl was asked about potentially bringing Mourinho or Klopp as the new coach. With Klopp, he said, "I know what it means when Kloppo said: “I'm running out of energy.” - Few people can judge that better than me because I went through it. When a person says that, the job comes second. And people come first. That's why I'm not going to call him."

When asked if Mourinho could be an option, Eberl said, "Of course, we're also looking into coaches who are currently available."
