Jurgen Klopp has mentioned his exhaustion from managing Liverpool for nearly nine years. Klopp has won a Community Shield, an FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the Uefa Super Cup, the Premier League, and the Champions League. Klopp believed it was the right decision to take after such a long time competing at the highest level with Liverpool.

Klopp has mentioned that he will take a one-year break from football and wouldn't manage another team in the Premier League that isn't Liverpool. Klopp says, "I don't know what will happen in the future. But no other club or country for the next year. That is clear. No other club in England forever; that will NOT happen. Even if I don't have any food on the table, which will not happen, thanks to Liverpool."

Although Klopp will be leaving Liverpool and coaching for a year, many clubs and teams are interested in possibly bringing the German manager to their clubs. FC Barcelona is one of the clubs that are reportedly interested. The proposition could intrigue the German manager since it wouldn't be a Premier League team, but there could be a more appealing job for Klopp.

According to Christian Falk from Sport Bild, Germany hopes that after taking a sabbatical, Jürgen Klopp will coach the country for the 2026 World Cup. After Klopp's one-year break, the German would have one year to prepare for the 2026 World Cup if he decides to join the German national team as head coach.

Klopp says, "Because I'm not the manager next year is not an excuse to do a step less. We will fight for everything this season. I just know I can't do the job in the future, but I can do it very well right now, and that's what I will do. In my world, the best memories are still to come. I have a lot of special memories, but not today. I don't have any regrets."
