Cristiano Ronaldo has been rumored to leave Al Nassr soon, and one of the options some reports suggest he will go to is Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. Ronaldo is reportedly open to returning to Europe to compete in the Champions League again, but if he does arrive, the striker will look to beat a new record. Alonso and Bayer Leverkusen have reached 50 games unbeaten this season after their 5-0 win against VFL Bochum in the Bundesliga. They have become the first team since the introduction of UEFA club competitions to go 50 consecutive games across all competitions unbeaten! The streak could get bigger as the team has three more games left this season.

Ronaldo may look forward to breaking that record since the team may have even more games next season due to the new Champions League league format next season, in which Leverkusen will take part. Leverkusen are the Bundesliga champions and will play in a German Super Cup at the start of next season along with a potential UEFA Super Cup if they win the Europa League against Atalanta.

The Bayer Leverkusen team celebrated their 50th unbeaten game this season as they destroyed Bochum 5-0 away from home. Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface celebrated the win with a balloon that has the number 50 to represent the unbeaten streak this season in all competitions. Leverkusen have one more game in the Bundesliga and will take on Augsburg next weekend at home in the Bay Arena. If Bayer Leverkusen wins or draws, they will become the first Bundesliga team to ever go undefeated in the season.

Bayer Leverkusen is two games away from completing a treble

Apart from Bayer Leverkusen's last Bundesliga game next week, Xabi Alonso's men have two more games to go and they are cup finals. Bayer Leverkusen will first play in the UEFA Europa League final against Atalanta on May 22nd at the Aviva Stadium. The final game of the season will be in the DFB Pokal final against 1. FC Kaiserslautern at the Olympiastadion on May 25th.
