The Catalan club was reportedly open to selling De Jong for over $100 million, but the team wanted to keep him since he is a crucial player. Araujo is also a crucial player, but Bayern Munich was willing to bid over $100 million in the latest winter transfer window. Barcelona is trying to find ways to gain funds in order to add players to the squad rather than replace players.
