FC Barcelona needs to quickly focus on La Liga again as their next game is against Getafe at home. Barca is third in the league table with 54 points and is 8 points behind Real Madrid, who are top of the table. Barca just recently played in Italy against Napoli in the 1st leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League. Barca will need a win against Getafe to get closer to the top of the league table.

Although it looks complicated, Xavi talked about possibly fighting for the La Liga title this season. Xavi also praised Getafe ahead of the game tomorrow. Xavi said, "We can still win the league mathematically. We're not throwing in the towel. We must not drop points. Getafe are a brave team. We play at home tomorrow, and we need our fans. Getafe takes advantage of counterattacks and aerial balls. But we visualize a high pressure; I don't see a Getafe locking the whole game behind."

Xavi was also asked if the team had very little time to prepare for this game since they played two days ago in Italy. Xavi complained about the game against Getafe being played tomorrow instead of Sunday or Monday but will not use it as an excuse. Xavi said, "Few hours for preparations? Yes. I think like everyone. I think it would have been better to play on Sunday or Monday, but there are no excuses. We have to win." I think it would’ve been better from the league to keep our match against Getafe on Sunday or Monday, considering we played the UCL. However, it’s not an excuse."
