Lamine Yamal is the youngest player in a Champions League knockout game, at 16 years and 223 days. Yamal has featured in all six games of the Champions League group stage with FC Barcelona and provided one assist. Yamal played for 80 minutes against Napoli, creating two chances and having two shots. One shot was on target, where Alex Meret from Napoli made a save while also taking a shot that went wide. Although Yamal played in a Champions League knockout stage at a young age, he wasn't the only one who made history in the Champions League yesterday.
Pepe from FC Porto became the oldest outfield starter in a UCL knockout game with 40 years and 360 days. Pepe has been at the highest level for over 20 years and is still going strong. Yamal was born two years after Pepe played his first UCL Knockout game; Yamal was born in 2007. Pepe had an 85% pass accuracy and won 5 out of 7 ground duels against Arsenal. Pepe won 2 out of 3 tackles, had two clearances, and one interception. Pepe was key in Arsenal not taking a shot on target yesterday, while Porto took two shots on target and won the game 1-0 thanks to a long-range shot by Galeno.

After the game, Galeno talked about his winner against Arsenal. Galeno said, "I almost cried. I'd only seen Arsenal on TV! I'd always wanted to play against them & scoring against them at the end to get the win is even more special."
