Manchester United want to build a new young team ahead of next season. The club wants to sell the older players whose wages are too high, like Anthony Martial, Casemiro, Varane, and Christian Eriksen. While the club wants to bring in a new defender and a new midfielders, Man United are also interested in bringing a new striker. Rasmus Hojlund has impressed Manchester United fans, but the club wants another young striker to play alongside him or to add depth to the squad.

Man United was interested in bringing a new striker to the club since the depth in that position is slim. It was evident when Man United played Fulham this past weekend. Hojlund suffered an injury, and the team had to start academy player Omari Forson. The 19-year-old did not receive passes at the striker position and switched with Rashford, who also doesn't feel comfortable in the sole striker position. Martial is injury-prone and only played 13 matches in the Premier League this season. He started in five games and only scored one goal.

With Martial on high wages and being the only striker besides Hojlund, the club is desperate to make a move this summer. Man United are interested in bringing in Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich. He has played in 18 matches with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga with 0 starts. Despite not starting, he scored three goals and three assists. Man United wanted to bring him in to give the player more game time, as his potential is high.
