Liverpool looking to break a bad streak against Brentford away from home

Liverpool has not won a game in Brentford's stadium since they were promoted a few years ago.

Brentford FC will host Liverpool FC at the GTech Community Stadium in the Premier League. In their previous encounter in the league, Liverpool defeated Brentford 3-0 at Anfield in November. Both teams have come from wins in their previous league game and a win is important for a boost in the league.

Brentford won their previous Premier League game against Wolves away from home when they won 2-0. Their last home game in the league was against Manchester City, where they lost 3-1. Brentford are 14th in the league with 25 points. Brentford could go up by one position if they beat Liverpool today with 28 points and with a game in hand. Brentford are 6 points ahead of the relegation zone.

Liverpool continues to be league leaders of the Premier League after their latest 3-1 win against Burnley at Anfield. Liverpool are first with 54 points and could reach 57 points with a win today against Brentford. Since Brentford was promoted in 2021, Liverpool has not won a game in Brentford stadium. Liverpool drew 3-3 in 2021 and lost 3-1 in 2023. Liverpool’s last away game in the Premier League was a 3-1 loss against Arsenal. Liverpool needs another win in the league because if they drop points, they could be overtaken by Arsenal and Manchester City, who are two points below them.

Alisson is confirmed out of the Liverpool squad against Brentford

Brentford starts with Flekken in goal with a back three of Collins, Ajer, and Mee. Jensen, Norgaard, and Janelt are the midfielders, with Roerslev and Sergio Reguilon as the wingbacks. Ivan Toney and Neal Maupay are the two strikers.

Liverpool starts with Kelleher and a back four of Conor Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, and Robertson. The three midfielders are Mac Allister, Endo, and Curtis Jones. The front three are Jota, Nunez, and Diaz. Mohamed Salah returns to the team but is sitting on the bench.
