This week Paris Saint-Germain fans received the worst news: in newspapers, TV shows and social media it was confirmed that Kylian Mbappé will not continue next season in France. Apparently, he had a meeting with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club's owner, and announced his decision to leave once his contract expires on June 30. He had the option to automatically extend it until 2025 and had even received a four-year renewal offer with a huge salary, but chose another path.

Reports claim that 'Kiki' will join Real Madrid from next summer, although the signing will not be publicly announced yet. This is due, firstly, to the fact that there is still no full agreement between the Spanish side and Fayza Lamari, the striker's mother and agent. Moreover, with Los Merengues and PSG still competing in the Champions League, it could be a problem if his arrival in Spain is announced and then both teams face each other in the decisive stages of the tournament.

Beyond all this speculation, PSG are clear about one thing: they will need to find one or more replacements for Kylian Mbappé. In recent transfer windows, the chiefs seem to have changed their recruitment policy: they let go of big stars like Lionel Messi, Neymar Junior, Sergio Ramos and Angel Di Maria, and targeted young players like Bradley Barcola, Kang-in Lee and Manuel Ugarte.

But the departure of 'Kiki' will be a major blow to the squad and so they may now look to replace him with one or more top players. According to L'Equipe, two of those targeted are in the Premier League. One is Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star who is also wanted by Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia. In fact, it is rumored that the Pro League side could offer almost $250 million for him. The other is Bernardo Silva, who has shone for years at Manchester City and, according to the specialized website Transfermarkt, is worth $86 million.

There are other options

In addition to Bernardo Silva and Mohamed Salah, L'Equipe mentions other players as possible Paris Saint-Germain signings for the next transfer window. One is Victor Osimhen, who apparently intends to leave Napoli. Another is AC Milan winger Rafael Leao. And finally, an old acquaintance of the French side: Xavi Simons, who is on loan at RB Leipzig.
