Another season for Kevin De Bruyne at Manchester City comes to an end, and while it was another successful one, the Belgian is rumored to be heading out of the club soon. Reports in Saudi Arabia suggest that clubs like Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr are interested in signing him this summer and are willing to bid high for the player. The clubs in Saudi Arabia believe they have the money to convince De Bruyne to join and believe they could convince Manchester City to let him go. The Belgian midfielder’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, and he has received a contract extension to stay longer at Man City. Mirror Football reports that De Bruyne is expected to extend his contract at Man City, with his adviser reportedly holding meetings with Saudi Pro League clubs.

This move was a heavy rumor earlier in the season as the Belgian player was injured for most of the first half of the 2023/2024 season for Man City. The Belgian midfielder is seen as a major name to bring in the Saudi Pro League, which is interested in signing more star players from the top five European leagues. De Bruyne is 32 years old and made 26 appearances this season where he scored six goals and provided 18 assists.

De Bruyne won the Premier League, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup this season with Manchester City. He has made a total of 382 appearances for Man City across all competitions throughout his career. De Bruyne has scored a total of 102 goals and provided 170 assists with a Man City jersey.

What is next for Kevin De Bruyne?

De Bruyne’s season with Manchester City came to an end yesterday after they lost 2-1 to Manchester United in the FA Cup Final. De Bruyne only played for 52 minutes as he was subbed off in the second half and replaced by Julian Alvarez. Now, the Belgian will focus on EUROS 2024, which he is likely to be called up for. Belgium is in Group E, where they will be taking on Slovakia, Romania, and Ukraine.
